  • Year 3 write and perform a ballad

    Fri 26 Apr 2024

Year 3 have been working extremely hard on their 'Ballads' unit of work, in music over the past five weeks. After learning about the features of a ballad, the children watched the animation Soar. Using this animation they worked in small groups to write their own lyrics to match their given part of the story. We then worked collaboratively to bring the verses and chorus together. Today, the children started to sing their lyrics to a chosen melody. Please click the link to view 3H's performance of their own ballad. We hope you enjoy it, as 3H are very proud of their work in music. 3H ballad

    The Guardians Grow Charity

On Friday this week (22nd March 2024), we will be holding a non-uniform day in support of a local charity 'The Guardians Grow,' which is located in The Makery in the Abbeygate Shopping Centre in Nuneaton. The Guardians Grow is dedicated to overcoming poverty and advocating for social justice within our community.  Their vision aligns with our values, as they strive to promote equality for all and provide vital support to families in need. To participate in this charitable event, we kindly ask children to donate an Easter egg in exchange for wearing non-uniform to school.  Every contribution – big or small – will help make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate in our locality. Let's come together as a school community to bring smiles to all children's faces this Easter. Your continued support and generosity are greatly appreciated.
